Papa John’s same-store sales rise as Domino’s, Pizza Hut see decline

Over the years, Papa John’s International often has stood apart from its pizza competitors, not always to its best advantage. There were the years, for example, when founder and Chairman John Schnatter rejected adding popular new products such as hot wings and specialty pizzas to the menu lest the company stray from its “better ingredients, better pizza” ethos.
